Alina Grasmann (b. 1989) lives and works in Munich, Germany, having studied at the prestigious Academy of Fine Arts in Munich and at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. Her paintings deal with imaginary, real and emotional places. The West of Eden series (2017) places elements of famous historical paintings inside the industrial architecture of Dia Beacon, the landmark of minimalist art, questioning the dichotomy between artifice and reality. In Paper Town (2018), a series of smaller oils on paper, she depicts the facades of a town that began as a copyright trap - a deliberate typo by map-makers to catch copyright infringement, again using her masterful painting technique to juxtapose fiction and reality.

Anton Ginzburg (b. 1974), based in New York, earned his MFA from Bard, and has exhibited at the fifty-fourth Venice Biennale, Blaffer Art Museum, Palais de Tokyo in Paris, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, White Columns, the Moscow Biennale, and Cooper-Hewitt Design Museum. He uses an array of historical and cultural references as starting points for his investigations into art’s capacity to penetrate layers of the past and reflect on the contemporary experience. The ORRA paintings (2017) combine color theory developed by Russian Constructivists with geometrical forms characteristic of American minimalism to create a pulsating visual dialog with the surrounding space.
