About the event

Antenes - Hybrid-Live - "Inward Towards The Center" New York based instrument builder, producer and DJ, Antenes is premiering a hybrid set guided by this question; "if a sound is healing you, can it serve the purpose of healing others?”. The gallery set is focusing on sounds recorded inside Bell Labs Anechoic Chamber that incorporate her own processed binaural recordings, designed to be heard outside of the headphones-only experience. Her records are published on Silent Season, The Bunker New York, L.I.E.S with an upcoming release on Eaux, curated by Rrose. She was commissioned by Moog Music to perform a durational piece at their annual MoogFest. The modular synth documentary film I Dream of Wires, features her custom synth work. She also leads hands-on DIY synth workshops, having recently lectured at CalArts, Oberlin and Women’s Synth Workshop at the Kitchen NYC. As a DJ she has played at De School Amsterdam, Tresor Berlin, Corsica Studios London, Rural Festival Japan and more. Antenes has held residencies for electronic art and music at WORM (Rotterdam), ISSUE Project Room, NOKIA Bell Labs and Harvestworks.
