About the event

Juan Bethancurth's deck for oracular improvisation: Thirty-three[x]2 places the performers as a medium with an 'oracular power', defined as the power to shape perceptions into actions. The deck is a series of sixty-six cards divided capriciously into two groups, 33 in the left pocket and 33 in the right. This distribution is proposed as an open game between polarities to create combinations between one side and the other and to open up possibilities that will show us what dwells in between.

Victoria Keddie is an artist working in varying media and broadcast. Keddie’s work explores electromagnetic systems, media ecologies, and the machinic body. Keddie's work has been exhibited and performed at numerous venues in the United States and internationally, including the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Museum of the Moving Image, and the Museum of Modern Art

Percussionist, drummer and composer Carlo Costa was born and grew up in Rome, Italy. Since 2005 he has been based in New York City. In the past several years he has been making music which is largely improvised and/or experimental in nature. Through the use of a variety of unusual techniques and added objects Carlo has meticulously developed a distinctive and wide-ranging sonic palette. His long standing projects are Natura Morta (with Frantz Loriot and Sean Ali), Earth Tongues (with Dan Peck and Joe Moffett) and Moritz/Ali/Costa (with Jonathan Moritz and Sean Ali).

Daniel Neumann is a Brooklyn-based sound artist, organizer and audio engineer. His artistic practice uses conceptual and often collaborative strategies to explore sound, sound material and its modulation through space, situation and media. He curates CT::SWaM, an event series in NYC and Berlin engaging in spatial sound works and focused listening.
